For every engagement, we highly recommend our clients start by gathering their key staff together for a Business Process Workshop. In our experience, any technology investment is likely to disappoint if it’s designed to support undefined or ill-defined business processes. If the parties involved in the business process don’t agree on goals, processes, and priorities, it’s virtually impossible to declare success, regardless of how great the software.
Rather than starting with a technology discussion and adjusting your business to work within that solution, we have a holistic dialog about what’s needed to make your business more efficient. By having that conversation first, we can map and document your processes and define the requirements for configuration and customization of the solution. Only then do we hand you the blue print for our recommended solution.
Each Process Workshop usually only takes one day and can be hosted by Amaxra in-person at your office, or a location of your choice. In the workshop, your stakeholders will walk through key business processes from start to finish. The Workshop facilitator will then help the participants work through any uncertainty and make key decisions process improvement decisions. The group will them collaborate on how the updated process can be supported by a new technology solution. The result of the workshop is about finding agreement by all stakeholders on the project requirements. Once the stakeholders have clearly defined processes, any new technology deployment supporting that process is more likely to meet its goals and be adopted throughout the organization.
